The handguard on my old G3 shorty broke during a game of airsoft so I needed a replacement. Rather than purchasing the same one as before, I decided to make something a little bit more … me.
The process started by measuring the critical dimensions of the original so that it all fits perfectly. I did a test 3D print to determine whether it would work, and it did. I then moved onto the aesthetics.
The handgrip is made up of 8 different parts including a 3D printed nut and bolt.
